The Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl will have an over-the-air TV partner this year.
The CW Network has announced it will be the exclusive broadcast home of the 2023 Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl, but that was just the start of the surprises.
The telecast to feature Barstool personalities including Dave Portnoy calling the game. It will also have Dan “Big Cat” Katz, and Jake Marsh call the game. Caleb Pressley and Adam “Rone” Ferrone will serve as sideline reporters.
According to the release, the Scripps-owned CW Network will bring the game directly to fans in 75 million U.S. homes through its national broadcast television platform.
“As The CW continues its expansion into live sports, we are thrilled to partner with Barstool Sports,” said Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment, The CW Network. “The CW is quickly becoming a destination for college football fans every Saturday thanks to our partnership with the ACC, which has delivered some of the biggest ratings in the history of the network. We look forward to continuing this momentum with our first bowl game, delivered in the iconoclastic Barstool fashion.”

Now in its eighth year, the bowl game will feature two yet-to-be-determined teams from the Mountain West Conference and Mid-American Conference. The two participating teams will be announced Sunday afternoon in downtown Tucson.
Barstool had exclusive streaming rights to the game in 2021 and 2022.
Kickoff of the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl is set for Dec. 30 at Arizona Stadium at 2:30 p.m. MST.
Founded in 2006, the CW Network is a network leader recognized for its distinct blend of programming.
Sports programming has been one of the pillars of the CW’s new strategy under the ownership of Nexstar Media Group, which acquired a 75% interest in the network last year.
