Baker Mayfield is finally making his first public comments since the Cleveland Browns traded for Deshaun Watson.
Appearing on ‘Ya Never Know’ podcast, Mayfield made it clear that he felt disrespected by the organization for telling him one thing, and completely doing something else.
“I feel disrespected — 100%. Because I was told one thing and they completely did another. That’s what I’m in the middle of right now. I’ve had 4 different head coaches in four years. A bunch of different coordinators.”
As of now, he is still on the Browns roster, but that is expected to change as the season draws near.
Mayfield, 26, played through several injuries in 2021. He finished the season with 3,010 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.
