Kirby Smart was not in a happy mood and every person on his squad was going to know about it.
In a video going viral this weekend, you can hear what sounds like Kirby Smart unleashing an expletive-filled tirade at his team ahead of their matchup with the top-ranked Tennessee Volunteers.
In the below video, you can hear the head coach calling out his players for not concentrating and blaming others for missing assignments. “His fault, his fault, his fault,” he complained. He said the players have been engaged in some “finger-pointing BS.”
“Every other team in America, you know what they do? They say, ‘It’s his fault! It’s his fault! It’s his fault!’” Smart said. “Why do they get f—king layups? Because people don’t concentrate! We’re trying to simulate this s–t like a game and y’all won’t cover s–t!”
Smart expects greatness out of his defense. They have allowed more than 20 points just twice this season. However, the Vols offense haven’t scored less than 34 points thus far this season and have scored under 40 just twice.
Must like that practice, it will surely be a tense environment at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., with an opportunity for the Bulldogs to steal the No. 1 ranking from the Volunteers.
