Texas quarterback Arch Manning has addressed the report claiming he’s making over three times as much as Brock Purdy.
The young QB hasn’t seen much action since joining the Longhorns but is thought to be making sensational sums. According to producer Chris Law, Manning has made $3.2 million via NIL deals this year, which is way more than the $870,000 Purdy is getting paid by the San Francisco 49ers.
Manning spoke to the media this Saturday amid preparations for Monday’s Sugar Bowl and discussed the report, claiming he doesn’t know how much he makes as his dad is in charge of his NIL deals. However, he doesn’t think he’s making that much more than the Niners star.
“I’m not involved with my NIL,” he told reporters, per Inside Texas. “You would have to ask my dad about that. I have no idea. I don’t think I’m making however much more than Brock Purdy. Someone sent me that the other day.”
While Purdy is getting paid less than a million in San Francisco and Arch may have indeed made three times that in 2023, the NFL QB could be making a lot more via endorsements.
Purdy is reported to have deals with Toyota, Alaska Airlines, Nike, Gatorade, Hyperice, Panini America, and MusclePharm. All of that combined should net him at least $3 million, though he wasn’t able to get gifts for his offensive teammates this Christmas.
