It’s been a rough time for Arch Manning since his arrival in Texas. The quarterback has already lost his student ID (twice!) and has now been overtaken as the No.1 prospect in the nation, at least according to one outlet.
On3 now has Manning, the nephew of NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning, as the No.3 prospect. The young QB was ranked top by both 247 Sports and On3, and second by ESPN. However, he’s since slipped down On3’s rankings, with Alabama defender Keon Keely usurping him, while Nico Iamaleava has gone up to No.1.
This has, of course, sparked a debate among fans online
“Arch is average… Only number 1 because of his name,” one Twitter user said.
“Saying Arch is only good because of his name is the most unserious take in football right now,” another countered.

Whatever you may think of Manning’s passing ability, this is all because he’s lost his student ID twice. Fortunately, he will be making his passes out of a presumably stronger pocket during the season.
The kid should really consider a wallet at this point. That he might not have one is actually baffling.
