Arch Manning finally made his Texas debut this week, coming on with the Longhorns up 50-7 late in the third quarter against Texas Tech on Friday night.
The highly-rated quarterback has been riding the bench all season, sparking rumors of a potential transfer at the end of the term, especially as Quinn Ewers is reportedly set to remain with the program for another year. But he got some game time this weekend and seemed to enjoy himself out there.
While Manning didn’t drape himself in glory on his debut, fans were impressed with his athleticism, particularly after he recovered a fumble after messing up the preceding snap. The 18-year-old looked pretty good on his feet, which was the overriding notion on social media.
