A new school has jumped ahead as the favorite to land Arch Manning should he decide to leave Texas.
The Longhorns quarterback has insisted that he has no plans to change schools but speculation over a possible transfer remains as he will have to wait at least one more season before he can start for Texas, with Quinn Ewers set to return.
Manning rode the bench as a third option for the program last season and will play backup to Ewers in 2024, though there are reports claiming he could usurp the former Carroll Senior High School star.
Manning’s family would prefer it if he stayed at Texas so he could continue learning under Steve Sarkisian before taking over from Ewers in 2025. But, given that there are several months to go between now and the beginning of next season, some believe the youngster could possibly have a change of heart.
Should that be the case, Ole Miss is being favored to land him over previous favorites LSU. The Rebels are -150 while the Tigers are +200.

Of course, he’s very likely to stay put and has given no indication of wanting to switch schools. But you just never know, do you?
