Arch Manning has made over three times the amount Brock Purdy is making despite the latter being a starting quarterback on the best team in the NFL.
The Texas quarterback is one of the highest-rated college players and was one of the most recruited QBs before he decided to become a Longhorn. He was always expected to make lots of money during his first term in Austin, given that we’re in the NIL era. Still, he was not a starter and wasn’t even the first option at backup, with Maalik Murphy taking over the role when Quinn Ewers was out with an injury earlier in the season.
According to Chris Law, the college signal-caller earned around $3.2 million in NIL money this season. Purdy, on the other hand, is making $870,000.
That’s insane when you consider that Purdy is the starting quarterback on the team with the best team after 14 games, as well as the betting favorite for MVP.
Of course, no one could have seen this coming; not even Brock.
The 49ers QB was dead last in the 2022 NFL Draft and was supposed to have a very irrelevant career. In fact, we might have never heard of him had the Niners not had the good fortune of having both Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo injured.

Brock and the Niners are heavily tipped to win the Super Bowl this season. But, even if that does not happen, he’s sure to get a sizeable bag soon.
