The legend of Arch Manning continues to grow. The son of Cooper Manning and nephew of Eli and Peyton put forth yet another dominating performance on Friday, this time in a playoff matchup with Episcopal Baton Rouge.
Arch led his Isidore Newman team to a convincing 37-6 victory in their division III quarterfinal matchup, throwing for a pair of touchdowns and rushing for another on the evening. Arch led Newman on a nine-play, 73 yard opening drive that started with a 16 yard run by the quarterback, and ended when he found tight end Will Randle for a 28-yard touchdown.
His second score came at the end of the first half, when he capped off a seven-play, 63 yard drive with an eight-yard touchdown run with just 37 seconds remaining before the break. That game Newman a 16-0 lead going into the half.
Then, with 10:30 remaining in the contest, Manning put the game on ice by hooking up with Chris Hunter for a 23-yard score.
It was an impressive outing for Arch and his teammates, and current Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin was in attendance to see it all.

Lane was spotted in the crowd along with his son, and Arch’s grandfather, Archie Manning.
Of course, Kiffin’s Ole Miss team is very much in the running when it comes to Arch’s highly publicized recruiting process. Kiffin and the rest of the college programs will now get another shot to watch Manning as Newman takes on the defending state champions from Lafayette Christian in the semifinals.
