It finally happened. Arch Manning finally got to throw a pass in an actual game for the Texas Longhorns.
Arch actually got to throw five passes, and two of them were completed for 30 yards, as the freshman QB entered the game against Texas Tech with his Longhorns holding a commanding 50-7 lead late in the third quarter of their rivalry game.
On his first drive, Manning only attempted two passes, and both fell incomplete as the Longhorns turned the ball over on downs.
He has a lot more success on drive number two, though, completing both of his passes on that drive while leading the Longhorns to a touchdown.
Manning’s first completion as a Longhorn went for 17 hards to Johntay Cook II, and it had everyone buzzing.
Arch finished the game going 2-for-5 for 30 yards, along with an additional seven yards on the ground.
