Arch Manning’s 2021 high school football season has officially ended, but not before the talented nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning gave us one final highlight reel moment.
In the first quarter, with Lafayette Christian Academy leading 7-0 following an opening drive touchdown, Isidore Newman responded with a scoring drive of their own. It was capped off by an Arch touchdown run that featured quite the juke on an LCA defender.
Manning was supposed to hit his tight end on the play, but with that option covered, be decided to tuck it and run. And he got the job done thanks to some slick footwork — something that his uncles weren’t exactly known for.
Unfortunately for Arch and his teammates, that would be their only scoring play of the evening, as they were trounced in their semi-final battle, 49-6. It was a rough outing for the class of 2023’s top-ranked recruit, as he passed for just 49 yards while running for another 15 and a touchdown.
Manning finishes the season with 26 touchdown to just three interceptions. He has one more year of high school remaining, but everyone will be watching closely as he makes his monumental decision on which college program he’ll be joining in 2023.
