Angel Reese has responded to the comments Caitlyn Clark made about the criticism she’s received since her taunting of the latter toward the end of the NCAA Women’s National Championship game.
Reese helped LSU to a resounding victory over Iowa on Sunday and, as the final whistle approached, was seen taking a jab at Clark, pointing to her ring finger and hitting her with John Cena’s “You can’t see me” gesture.
The LSU star came under heavy criticism but had many speak up in her defense, including Caitlyn herself.
“I don’t think Angel should be criticized at all,” Clark said. “No matter which way it goes, she should never be criticized for what she did. I’m just one that competes and she competed. I think everybody knew there was going to be a little trash talking the entire tournament. It’s not just me and Angel. So I don’t think she should be criticized, like I said. LSU deserves it. They played so well. Like I said, I’m a big fan of hers.”
It’s worth noting that Clark had performed the same gesture against previous opponents, something which has been pointed to by most people who have defended Reese.
Angel Reese Responds To Caitlyn Clark’s Comments
Reese has offered a reaction to what Caitlyn had to say, insisting there’s no animosity between them.
“Man, people don’t realize, me and her have never had beef,” she remarked, per On3.

“We played against each other for so long and she’s a great player. I love playing against Caitlin, and I feel like me and her are the face of women’s basketball at the college level, right now. So, just being able to have that and her come out and say that was great for us.”
If Angel Reese has beef with anyone, it’s with First Lady Jill Biden, who had the nerve to suggest that Iowa should join LSU on their visit to the White House despite them losing the final.
Reese called Biden out on Twitter and later said she would not be going but has since changed her stance.
