LSU forward Angel Reese made her return to the court after an absence spanning over two weeks.
She didn’t appear to have any difficulties getting back into her groove as she helped the Tigers to a 82-64 victory over Virginia Tech with a 19-point performance. She had a question for reporters right after the game.
“How happy are y’all to see me?” she asked.
Angel then went on to speak about how happy she was to have made a return after missing multiple games.
“It was a long two weeks to be away from the team,” she admitted, per ESPN. “I’m just happy to be back and this place was amazing tonight.”
To date, there’s been no news on the reason for the player’s hiatus. She was inexplicably benched for the second half of a game against Kent State last month before disappearing altogether.

Head coach Kim Mulkey has refused to speak about the situation, but she had plenty of praise for the Tigers star following last night’s win.
“Angel is one of the best players I’ve coached,” she said. “I’m just proud. I’m proud of how she handled herself. She’s back to the Angel everybody knows.”
Meanwhile, Reese’s teammate, Kateri Poole, is yet to return after her own string of missed appearances.
