Angel Reese has posted a cryptic message to social media following her very noticeable absence on Friday night.
The LSU star was not with the Tigers when they lost to Southeastern Louisiana on the night, an absence that follows a surprising decision by head coach Kim Mulkey to bench her against Kent State earlier in the week.
There were rumors ahead of Friday’s matchup claiming the 21-year-old was suspended for a game. Mulkey did not make any revelations pertaining to her no-show against the Lions this Friday, telling reporters “We hope she’s back with the team soon” and refusing to answer any other questions regarding the absence.
Reese has since taken to TikTok to share a slide of photos showing flowers sent to her by her boyfriend, Florida State guard Cam’Ron Fletcher.
“Thank you for being there during the light and dark of my life,” she wrote in the caption. “You keep me sane and being my peace is what I’ve always look at you for.”

The above seems to suggest that the forward is dealing with some personal issues, though they could have something to do with the team. Maybe we’ll know more in the coming days.
