Before her team’s title run in the NCAA Tournament this year, Angel Reese was at $371,000 in NIL valuation.
That all changed after the LSU star basketball player not only helped the Tigers win their first national championship recently, but she has also become one of the most popular faces in college sports for name, image, and likeness.
On3 reported last month that its estimation of Reese’s NIL valuation has eclipsed seven figures to reach $1.3 million.
This month, the star basketball player is treating herself after revealing that she got a brand new Mercedes-Benz for her 21st birthday.
“BIG BODY BENZ BARBIE!” Reese wrote on Twitter, with eyeball, heart, and celebration emojis.
“Why not get a new car when it’s your 21st birthday week???
“Thank you @mercedesbenzbatonrouge for helping me purchase my NEW CAR!! I wouldn’t be the BAYOU BARBIE without @matchpconnect @bayoutraditions #BAYOUBARBIETURNS21 #GODDID.”
Aside from the National Title victory, Reese drew major controversy when she hit Iowa star Caitlin Clark with the John Cena “You can’t see me taunt” as LSU was closing out the Hawkeyes in the national championship game last month.

The backlash only got worse as she remained unapologetic for the trash-talking, saying Clark’s previous disrespect towards opponents motivated the gesture.
Reese also became upset that first lady Jill Biden floated the idea of inviting Iowa, the loser of the game, to the White House. Reese eventually conceded that she would go to the White House with her teammates.
The LSU Tigers are only going to get better after they landed former Louisville star Hailey Van Lith in the transfer portal last week.
