Louisville point guard Hailey Van Lith reportedly visited the 2023 national championship winner LSU on Tuesday as she continues to navigate the transfer portal.
Van Lith has become a household name in the women’s college basketball world after she went viral during the 2023 NCAA tournament after she had a contentious exchange with Texas guard Sonya Morris following their Sweet 16 matchup.
LSU star Angel Reese had fans buzzing after she took to Twitter and posted a cryptic tweet.
Reese simply tweeted out the “face with peeking eye” emoji.
The timing was right after Van Lith had her visit to the school.
According to On3’s Shea Dixon, the now former Louisville star included a “no contact” clause when she entered the transfer portal, meaning that she reportedly initiated the conversation with the LSU program, rather than Mulkey and the Tigers reaching out to her.

Van Lith has two years of eligibility remaining after wrapping up the 2022–23 campaign. Right now, she ranks in the top 10 of On3’s NIL valuation among women’s athletes with two of her biggest partnerships coming with Adidas and Dick’s Sporting Goods. If she decides to join forces with Angel Reese, her valuation may go through the roof.
After the Tigers won the national title on April 2, LSU forward Angel Reese and guard Flau’jae Johnson rank in the top four of the same list mentioned above.
During her junior season, Van Lith averaged 19.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
