Agiye Hall took to Twitter on Saturday night to voice his frustration with the team.
While Nick Saban and Alabama were able to record a dominant win over Mississippi State on Saturday night, the wide receiver posted a cryptic tweet that he later deleted that suggested he was quitting the team.
Hall tweeted: “Yea nah, calling it quits.”
Agiye Hall is not having the type of year he would like as he has only registered one catch for 10 yards, which came against the 44-13 win over the Miami Hurricanes. He has seen action in three of Alabama’s other six games.
After the game, fellow receiver John Metchie was asked about the tweet from his teammate.
“I haven’t really been on my phone, so I haven’t seen anything or heard anything,” Metchie said. “But I think it’s just a process. The process of being here. I remember what it was like as a freshman. I guess my words of encouragement would just be it’s a process and we’ve got to keep going.”

Hall was a standout in the A-Day spring game, where he had four catches for 72 yards. It was good enough to impress head coach Nick Saban.
“I think that he is a young player, he is getting better every day,” Saban said. “I think that he has a lot of ability. I think that he is not 100% sure sometimes of what he is doing. So to get him to play fast all the time is something that he wants to do and naturally does, but like any player most of the time when they are not sure of what they are doing, they aren’t playing fast.
“He has made significant improvement throughout the spring, and he is someone that we think has a lot of potential. He makes a lot of contested catches. He’s got great size. He’s got really some explosive speed that I think we need. We need some guys to complement John Metchie when he gets back. We are pleased with his progress. He had a really good spring.”
