Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban’s phone number has leaked online following the recent College Football Playoff announcement.
Saban led his team to an SEC Championship win over the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday and likely had a celebratory weekend. However, this week has gotten off to a very rough start as he’s revealed having suffered lots of abuse since Sunday’s CFP revelation.
Alabama joined Michigan, Washington, and Texas as the teams picked for the playoffs, ousting Florida State despite the latter posting a 13-0 record and winning the ACC Championship, much to their devastation. The decision led to Saban’s number leaking and he’s claimed to have received over 250 calls from angry fans.
“I’ve had probably over 250 anonymous callers today, calling me every name in the book, talking about how we shouldn’t be in the playoff,” he said at a team banquet, per Rivals.com. “So we still have naysayers out there. We still have players who don’t believe in us.”
“Most of these people are from Florida,” he added “I don’t know how in the hell they got my number, but it is out there.”

The selection has prompted understandable outrage. FSU missed out because their starting quarterback got injured, so supporters have every right to be upset.
Calling another coach who had nothing to do with the decision is a huge overstep, however.
