The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback just put up one of the best college football seasons in recent memory.
The Bengals are already making comments about him.
“He’s got natural pocket feel. He feels it,” Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan said. “It seems like he never takes his eyes off down the field. He extends the play really, really well. He’s a lot faster than you might assume when you see him running away from all those SEC guys. He’s got incredible up-field accuracy. The ball hardly ever hits the ground in a game, which is rare. He just naturally puts the ball in places where those guys can make plays.”
The Bengals aren’t the only ones who covet Burrow as ESPN’s Adam Schefter said on Get Up! this morning that multiple teams – the Chargers and the Panthers, notably – could try to make a trade up to No. 1.
“We usually have teams that approach teams for the No. 1 overall pick,” Schefter said. “Last year was the exception with Kyler Murray and it was Kliff Kingsbury and everyone expected them to be joined at the hip, and enter into the relationship that they did. Usually when it’s any other team and other quarterbacks you see teams approach that first team with that first pick. It doesn’t mean anything is going to happen, but I think it would be an upset if there weren’t teams that went to the Bengals.
“You’ve got the Dolphins with all this ammunition, you’ve got the Chargers that need a quarterback. You’ve got the Panthers who have Joe Brady — Joe Burrow’s former passing came coordinator at LSU. So, there are a number of teams that aren’t far away that if they put together a package that was attractive enough — sure, why not?”

There would have to be a whole haul of picks and possible players for the Bengals to say they don’t want a possible franchise changing QB. The team is expected to part ways with former franchise QB Andy Dalton.
