ABC totally did Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin dirty with a humiliating graphic botch during their broadcast of the Pop-Tarts Bowl between the Iowa State Cyclones and his alma mater, the Miami Hurricanes.
The Cyclones and Hurricanes are squaring off at Camping World Stadium for the 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl. Michael Irvin is also present to support the football program he starred at before turning pro.
ABC’s cameras showed Irvin speaking to Hurricanes players on the sidelines during the game. But the network, unfortunately, embarrassed themselves by spelling his name as “Michael Irving.”

If you want to do a player search, there are no records of an NCAA football player named Michael Irving. The only documented ones with that surname are Purdue defensive lineman Caleb Irving and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers star running back Bucky Irving.
