It did not take very long for a bunch of players on the Alabama Crimson Tide to jump ship after the team lost the National Title game.
Less than 24 hours after the Tide lost to the Georgia Bulldogs, seven players, including a quarterback and a key tight end entered the portal. Alabama insider Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reports that backup quarterback Paul Tyson is on his way out.
“Alabama backup QB Paul Tyson has also entered the transfer portal, @On3sports has learned,” Zenitz reported.
Tyson didn’t play much this season due to Bryce Young’s Heisman Trophy campaign and finished with 150 yards and no touchdowns.
Tight end Jahleel Billingsley is also leaving. He finished with 256 yards and three touchdowns on 17 receptions this season and only had 12 yards on one reception on Monday night. Drew Sanders is the second-biggest name on the list after he finished with 24 total tackles and one sack.
Offensive lineman Tommy Brown, defensive back Ameer Speed, wide receiver Jaylen Johnson and linebacker King Mwikuta are the other two players in the portal, per Matt Zenitz of On3Sports.
