Arch manning shouldn’t be riding the bench and should be a starter!
With Quinn Ewers returning to Texas for his senior year, Arch manning will once again be a backup for the Longhorns. The transfer portal is still open, and it looks like a reasonable option for Arch manning.
Here are 5 Schools Arch Manning Should Transfer To After Texas QB Quinn Ewers Announced His Return For Senior Year…And 5 Schools He Must Stay Far Away From.
Transfer to: Alabama
With Nick Saban gone, former UW coach Kalen DeBoer is now the guy in Tuscaloosa. DeBoer’s offense at Washington was the best passing attack in the nation, with an emphasis on good offensive line play, and deep shots down field. This style of offense doesn’t fit the play of Alabama’s current quarterback Jaylen Milroe, who prefers to scramble to make plays. Arch Manning would be a great fit in a DeBoer offense, along with the support of an SEC defense.
Stay away from: Kansas
The Jayhawks are coming off a nine-win season in 2023, despite not having a 1,000-yard receiver. The team’s only 1,000-yard rusher Devin Neal is projected to bone of the top running back selections in the NFL Draft. In addition, the Jayhawks defense allowed 26.5 points a game in a Big 12 conference where offenses are just getting better. Kansas would not provide Manning with a good supporting cast and would set the young quarterback up for failure.

Transfer to: Michigan
The defending national champions lost their quarterback JJ McCarthy to the NFL Draft and an opening is available for a new starting quarterback. Arch manning would be a good fit for the Wolverines offense and could provide a new style of play that is unfamiliar to the Big 10 conference. McCarthy lacked an ability to throw the ball accurately on a consistent basis, but where McCarthy struggled, Manning thrives. He would also have time to develop with the help of an elite defense and running game.
Stay away from: Colorado
It’s no surprise that Colorado was a huge act of playing favorites in 2023. The return of Shedeur Sanders means the quarterback room is filled with the addition of two three-star transfers via the 2024 transfer portal. All in all, while it would be cool to see an Arch Manning- Deion Sanders player-coach relationship, it just isn’t practical.
Transfer to: Texas A&M
Texas A&M has greatly benefited from the transfer portal in 2024, and the quarterback position is up in the air as four quarterbacks got substantial playing time for the Aggies in 2023. There was no standout player on the Aggies offense, and this could be attributed to poor quarterback play. Manning would most likely start upon transferring to Texas A&M and would get a chance to live every players dream of performing at a high level in the best conference in the nation.
Stay away from: Washington
The University of Washington is moving to the Big 10 conference next season, which will be harmful for the team that lost their leading passer, rusher, and top pass catchers via the NFL Draft. With a new head coach hire, the UW offense will be a shell of their former shelves. Until the team proves that they can perform at a high level with new faces, the UW Huskies are set to take a major step back next year.
Transfer to: Oklahoma
The Oklahoma Sooners have lost Dillon Gabriel via the transfer portal, as the former starting quarterback for the Sooners is now at Oregon. With that said, Manning would be entering a climate that thrives on flashy offenses. The Sooners are receiving offensive line, and receiver support via the transfer portal and will not be losing many key pieces either. The team will look vaguely different from 2023, but Manning would still be inheriting an offense that he can mold. He would also have a very good shot at earing the starting job, and Oklahoma could even use a multiple quarterback system if the opportunity is there.
Stay away from: Miami
The only reason Manning would consider transferring to Miami is the fact that there was an open quarterback spot on the Miami roster. However, this was recently filled by former Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward. There is a very slim chance that Manning could compete for the starting job in Miami, considering the fact that Ward was a Heisman frontrunner for the first five weeks of the 2023 season.
Transfer to: Oregon State
The Beavers have been through the ringer over the past month. The team lost their top two quarterbacks and their head coach. All in all, the team is losing 12 four-star prospects to the transfer portal. However, this is a time for a fresh start at Oregon State. The team is receiving six three star or higher recruits, and many key pieces on offense will be returning to Oregon State. This, with the addition of a new coach will provide Arch Manning with the chance to be a new campus legend at Oregon State and help the Beavers rebuild the conference.
Stay away from: Oregon
The Oregon Ducks got their new quarterback in the 2024 transfer portal, as Dillon Gabriel, the former Sooner is set to be the Starter for the Ducks. As flashy as the Duck’s offense is, and as tempting as it is to transfer to Eugene, Manning would not get the playing time he needs to develop as a quarterback.
