Philadelphia’s Samuel Fels High School is in mourning as one of its students, 17-year-old Noah Scurry, was sh*t and k*lled outside of his home while his mother was getting ready to take him to school.
Scurry, a star player on the school’s basketball team, is believed to have been k*lled in a targeted sh**ting around 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning, with witnesses claiming to have heard around 20 shots being fired.
Police told FOX 29 that Scurry had appeared in a rap video wearing a “Joker” mask and holding guns the previous day. Several other individuals, all unmasked, were seen dancing around him and showing off firearms.
Noah Scurry was both an excellent student and athlete. He was described as an “exceptional” individual by spokesperson Monique Braxton, who noted that the principal, basketball coach, and school community were devastated by his murder.
Noah Scurry Had Recently Scored An Impressive Academic Achievement
A letter sent to the school’s families revealed that the player had recently scored the highest on the SAT College Placement tests in the school community.
“This teenager that was killed was exceptional,” Braxton said. “As far as the school was concerned, there had not been any issues between this person who was killed and any other student. They don’t know of anything going on in the community as well.”

A few hours after Scurry’s death, the school district announced that all men’s basketball games scheduled for the week would be canceled.
Meanwhile, police have recovered a white Jeep Cherokee they believe was used in the shooting.
According to investigators, at least two shooters jumped out of the Jeep while its suspected that a third was driving the vehicle.
Sources have also told FOX 29 that the teenager was shot in May 2023 in an incident that saw a man in his 60s lose his life.
