New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson, who has not played in a game this season because of offseason surgery on his fractured right foot, suffered a set back in his rehab process.
“After experiencing persistent soreness in his right foot, Zion Williamson underwent medical imaging which showed a regression in the bone healing of his fifth metatarsal,” the Pelicans said in a statement, per ESPN.
“As a result, the volume and intensity of his training will be reduced for an extended period to help allow for further bone healing.”
A New Orleans Pelicans reporter then dropped some damning information on Williamson that accused him of skipping rehab workouts and falling asleep during film session.
“What about him skipping rehab workouts? What about him falling asleep during film session last week?”

Williamson was cleared on Nov. 26 for full basketball activities after making substantial strides in his recovery from foot surgery. Before getting back to full activity, he was doing contact drills and one-on-one workouts.
The 21-year-old broke his foot this summer during a workout and has yet to make his season debut. Williamson played just 24 games in his rookie season, then played 61 games in his second year.
