Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics have finally captured the NBA championship with a 106-88 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Two years ago, the Celtics fell short in the Finals against the Golden State Warriors. However, this time they refused to let history repeat itself, securing the 2024 championship trophy.
Following their victory, Tatum shared an emotional moment with his six-year-old son, Deuce.
“He told me that I was the best in the world. I said, ‘You’re damn right I am,'” Tatum recounted.
The journey to this championship has been a long one for Tatum, spanning seven years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Throughout these years, his six-year-old has been one of Tatum’s biggest supporters, always believing in his father’s greatness. Finally, Tatum’s efforts have paid off, and he has realized a dream that has been years in the making.
“It’s a hell of a feeling. I dreamed about what it would be like, but this is 10 times better,” Tatum said.
This win not only secured the Celtics’ 18th championship but also reclaimed their position as the team with the most NBA titles, breaking the tie with their historic rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers.
