After the New York Knicks lost their home game against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference playoffs, Paul Pierce, a former star player for the Boston Celtics, had some ideas for his Jalen Brunson shirt.
Following the Knicks’ elimination, Pierce repeatedly trampled his freshly purchased jersey in a video he shared on social media. Jalen Brunson was recently being compared to Michael Jordan. Paul Pierce made the following statement while stomping his jersey:
“What you say homie? What you say? Y’all still talking? Get outta here.” Also he sent a message to Knicks’ fans, “Yall Knick fans are delusional stfu and get over it ya season is over deal wit it. Good yr tho.”
The former Boston Celtics player wagered with Knicks supporters during the opening round of the playoffs that he would purchase a Brunson jersey should the team defeat the Philadelphia 76ers. Pierce maintained his word and bought the shirt he had promised, even though the Sixers ultimately lost in the opening round.
Paul Pierce has no incentive to wear the jersey, though, as the Knicks are out of the playoffs.
Despite having a chance to defeat the Pacers, New York was too injured. In Game 7, while trying to steal the ball from Tyrese Haliburton, even Brunson shattered his hand in the middle of the third quarter.
Paul Pierce Predicts His Choices for the Eastern Conference Finals
The league’s first club to make it to the conference finals this year was the Boston Celtics. Many discussed their choices and which club they believed would do well versus Boston while they waited for a game. Paul Pierce was excited to watch the game between the Pacers and his old squad. In his opinion, it’s a better matchup than the Knicks.

Given that the Pacers are healthy, Pierce stated that a seven-game series between the Celtics and them would be preferable. The ten-time All-Star discussed it on his podcast program, “The Truth Lounge”.
“Indiana will be a better test for the Celtics than a depleted Knicks team.” Pierce presented his opinion at 6:45.
The Knicks would not have liked to face the Celtics because of their long history of postseason injuries, including those of Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, and Brunson. However, Pierce’s wish was fulfilled with New York’s defeat, and Indiana will now play Boston in the conference finals.
