The Washington Wizards’ Snapchat account was absolutely wilding over the weekend, and the team’s social media admin is probably set to have their privileges dialed back after a bizarre post went viral after hitting the platform on Friday night.
For some reason or the other, the account in question posted photos of a female enjoying a night out, with a caption reading, “I was tryna figure out why it smelt so bad… Jessie out here doin’ the stanky leg in public.”
Of course, the post was screengrabbed and subsequently surfaced on other platforms, leading to multiple comments about the person in charge of the account possibly losing his or her job.
Washington has been on vacation since the playoffs started so it appears the staffer simply forgot to switch accounts before posting.
The team finished with a 35-47 record in the Eastern Conference to finish a fifth-consecutive losing campaign and will look to retool in the offseason to make another run at the postseason in 2023/24.
The Wizards got the eighth overall pick of the upcoming NBA Draft during the recent lottery, so exciting times may lie ahead.
