ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported huge news this week of the Celtics-Wizards-Grizzlies trade agreement, with Smart going to Memphis, Porziņģis and two draft picks going to Boston and Tyus Jones, Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala heading to Washington.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Paul, Landry Shamet, at least four second-round draft picks and multiple pick swaps will go from Phoenix to Washington in exchange for Beal.
Paul would never play a single minute for Washington as he is headed elsewhere.
On Thursday, news came down that he was being shipped to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Jordan Poole.
Paul joined the Suns before the 2020-21 season and helped lead the team to its first NBA Finals appearance in 27 years. He averaged 13.9 points, 8.9 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 59 starts for Phoenix last season.
In Poole, the Wizards are taking a chance on a player who, less than a year ago, received a four-year, $140 million extension from the Warriors.

Poole averaged 20.4 points per game, a new career high, but his defense remained problematic.
