With the Boston Celtics securing their 18th championship, the NBA world has now turned its attention to the upcoming NBA draft. This year’s draft will feature a new format, expanding to a two-night event.
The first round of the NBA draft is scheduled for June 26 at 8 p.m. ET, while the second round will occur on June 27 at 4 p.m. ET. ABC and ESPN will broadcast the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft, presented by State Farm, live from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. This marks the 22nd consecutive year that ESPN will air the draft. The second round will be broadcast from ESPN’s Seaport District Studios in New York.
For many, the easiest way to watch will be via YouTube TV, which requires a smart TV and an internet connection.
Those looking to stream either day of the draft can use FuboTV or the ESPN App. Additionally, fans can subscribe to Sling TV, which offers a $25 discount for the first month. In Canada, streaming is available through DAZN, which includes TSN in its offerings.
Which Team Will Be the Top Pick in the NBA Draft 2024?
The Atlanta Hawks will be selected first overall in the 2024 NBA Draft. On May 12, the Hawks secured the top pick in the draft lottery despite having just a 3% chance of winning.
The NBA draft usually consists of 60 picks, split evenly into 30 first-round and 30 second-round selections. However, this year will be an exception, with only 58 picks. The Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns are the losers in this regard. Both teams lost a second-round pick due to tampering violations.
This year’s draft class may lack standout names, but Atlanta Hawks general manager Landry Fields remains optimistic about his choices for the top picks.
