Six-time NBA All-Star DeMar DeRozan has left the Chicago Bulls in free agency to join the Sacramento Kings ahead of the 2024-25 season. While the 35-year-old forward/guard will look to win his first championship this season, he already boasts a collection of unique tattoos on his body.

How Many Tattoos Does DeMar DeRozan Have?
After spending nine seasons with the Toronto Raptors, DeRozan played three seasons for the San Antonio Spurs and three with the Chicago Bulls before joining the Kings. Apart from his amazing talent on the basketball court, the Raptors’ all-time scoring leader is known for his unique inks. DeMar DeRozan has at least 15 distinctive tattoos. Various tattoos have been inked on his body, from his religious beliefs to his fascination with the movie characters and their famous quotes.

Arms Tattoos
Unlike his back, the Kings star’s arms feature several tattoos, including a tribute to his loved ones. Growing up, DeRozan was close to his late maternal grandmother, Barbara. On the back of his right forearm, the NBA star has his grandmother’s tattoo sitting in a chair. Below this tattoo, he has written “Blesses One” on his right wrist, a nickname his grandmother gave him.
On his left forearm, he has a tattoo of a little sparrow named Diar to honor his daughter, Diar DeRozan. On his right wrist, the 35-year-old has inscribed his mother’s name, “Diane.” A tattoo of a cherub, an angelic figure known for serving god’s will, on the forearm reflects his religious belief.
Apart from his family, DeRozan paid homage to his basketball teams. He played until 2008 at the Crompton High School and has it written on his left sleeve. The former Bulls star has a tattoo of “Blue City,” a nickname for Chicago, on his left upper forearm. He also has a tattoo of two warriors fighting near his right elbow.
He has a pole on his left wrist with signs featuring the words “Dedication” and “Struggle.” The left hand has the words “Love,” “Respect,” and “Loyalty,” while his left bicep features Malcolm X. He received the human rights activist’s tattoo in February 2021, which was made by Canadian artist Steve Wiebe, who also inked Kevin Durant and John Wall, among other NBA stars.
Shoulder Tattoos
In February 2021, DeMar DeRozan’s father, Frank DeRozan, passed away. After eight months, the NBA star honored his late father by inking his face on his left shoulder and writing RIP beside it.
The basketballer’s right shoulder features a large tattoo of actor Heath Ledger’s Joker character from “The Dark Knight.” The Joker tattoo is surrounded by the words, “Before you judge me, make sure you’re perfect,” “Why would they care about you?” and “Why so serious?”
Apart from the supervillain, DeRozan has another movie character on his body. While he has kept his chest and abdomen area tattoo-free, his right rib features “The Godfather” tattoo with its popular character Vito drawn below it.
With the 2024-25 season approaching, DeRozan has joined forces with De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis at the Sacramento Kings. The Kings have a balanced roster with Malik Monk, Kevin Heurter, and Keegan Murray, making them a dominant force aiming for a successful run at the 2025 NBA Playoffs.
