The Los Angeles Clippers will finally step away from their city counterparts, the Lakers, as they have their own arena after 25 years. Clippers owner Steve Ballmer wanted to build a “basketball palazzo” for his NBA team, and he built one: the Intuit Dome.
The 2024-25 NBA regular season kicks off on October 22, and the L.A. Clippers will play their first game against the Phoenix Suns the next day. Their season-opening clash against Kevin Durant and Devin Booker-led Suns on October 23 will also mark the first official NBA game at the newly-constructed Clippers home arena, Intuit Dome.
Since 1999, the Clippers have shared the Staples Center with the Lakers and Los Angeles Kings (NHL team) as their home arena. In 2021, Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com acquired the stadium’s naming rights, renaming it to Crypto.com Arena.
What Are Clippers vs Suns Ticket Prices At Intuit Dome?
The $2 billion Intuit Dome covers 26 acres of land, has around 18,000 seats, and houses the first-ever franchise’s flagship store. Earlier, the Clippers’ NBA game tickets were cheaper than the Lakers’. However, this has not been the case lately, with the ticket prices for their opening game soaring high.
Last week, a Clippers fan shared a screenshot of the ticket price for the Suns game, which showed the starting price of $525.55 for the MAIN 1 section. On Tuesday, the Ticketmaster website showed the game was approaching a sellout. However, a few tickets were available for $386.40 and $577.05 for the 100-level.
Last season, the Clippers finished fourth in the Western Conference standings with a 51-31 record. In the 2024 NBA Playoffs, the Dallas Mavericks, who faced the Boston Celtics in the 2024 NBA Finals, defeated the Clippers 4-2 in Round 1. The star-studded team, which includes Kawhi Leonard, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden, will look to improve in the 2024-25 season.
