During a recent episode of the “All The Smoke podcast”, Veteran point guard Rajon Rondo officially announced his retirement after playing 16 seasons in the NBA.
Prior to his nine-year stay with the Boston Celtics from 2006 to 2015, Rondo was considered one of the NBA’s top point guards. His role in the Celtics’ 2008 championship win was notable.
“Absolutely. Yeah, I’m done… I’d rather spend time with my kids. What a time. You know what I mean. It was definitely something that I never took for granted while I was in the game. I loved every minute of it. I appreciated the brotherhood that I was able to share, bond with, and grow with over the years. I learned so much in this game, and it’s made me the man I am today.” Rondo said during the interview.

According to basketball reference, Rondo played 957 games during his career. He averaged 9.8 points, 7.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game during his career.
