Warriors fall against the Pelicans despite Stephen Curry’s fourth-quarter takeover
The New Orleans Pelican were able to fend off the Golden State Warriors on Friday night to give themselves a playoff boost just before the regular season ended. The Warriors tried their best but were no match for an aggressive Pelicans led by CJ McCollum. CJ scored 28 points and netted a beautiful three-pointer with just 1:03 remaining on the clock to seal the victory. He was supported well by Zion Williamson, who scored 26 points and helped his team beat the Dubs with a final score of 114-109.
The Warrior gave a tough fight to the Pelicans in the first two quarters, and the competition was intense. AN in form Klay Thompson scored 19 points and collected six rebounds, while Draymond Green contributed 12 rebounds and 11 assists to close the gap. Stephen Curry scored 33 points. He ran rampant in the fourth quarter to secure a win, but his efforts could not pull his team through.
