After the Dallas Mavericks’ impressive 105-101 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder in game three of the playoff semifinals, Luka Doncic, the Mavericks’ star player, praised PJ Washington for his exceptional performance. Doncic said that Washington is shooting confidently, and the team believes in him.
“Good… He made five threes today. Amazing, being aggressive, and He’s shooting it with confidence, and we believe in him.” Luka Doncic said during the post-game interview.
Washington stars as Mavericks take 2-1 lead
Washington leads Dallas with 27 points. The 23-year-old power forward scored 56 points in his second and third games against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Starting the game with a slicing slam over Chet Holmgren off an assist from Kyrie Irving, Washington set the tone. He led the club with 19 points in the first half, following an 11-point first-quarter performance.
Kyrie Irving was impressed by Washington’s performance and called him a key player that the team needs to rely on in this series to be effective. He also mentioned that Washington is doing a great job from the 3-point line and is alleviating a lot of pressure off of him, Doncic, and the rest of the team.
The fourth game of the Round 2 playoff series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks is set to take place on Tuesday at the American Airlines Center.
