Jokic ended up having 26 points, six rebounds and eight assists. He also played through a bruised right arm but it didn’t look like that when he was cutting through the defences of Utah.

With Jamal Murray scoring 37 points and Nikola Jokic playing with an injured right arm that prevented him from participating in shootaround, the Nuggets thrashed the Jazz 142-121 on Saturday night.

The third quarter saw the Jazz score exactly as many points as they did in the first half.
Even against Denver’s backups, who played the most of the fourth quarter, the Jazz, down 78-44 at the half, outscored Denver 44-24 in the third quarter but were unable to reduce their lead below 14 points.
With 29 points, Keyonte George led Utah and drove the Jazz’s push in the third quarter, which elevated their game and had the sold-out crowd excited about a possible historic collapse.
Before the break, the Nuggets made 14 of their 20 long-range attempts. The Nuggets improved to 8-1 since the All-Star break after readjusting at the half and playing better on both sides of the court in the fourth quarter after being outscored by 20 points in the third.
