The Golden State Warriors’ legendary duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, known as the “Splash Brothers,” brought four NBA championships to the Bay Area, including back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018. However, with Thompson’s departure to the Dallas Mavericks this offseason, Curry now leads the Warriors solo.
Despite the absence of his long-time running mate, Curry has kept the Warriors competitive, propelling them to second place in the Western Conference standings. In a recent interview with NBC Sports Bay Area’s Dubs Talk, Curry discussed his hunger for adding five more NBA titles to his legacy.
“All that goes into the obsession of trying to be the best basketball player that I can be and trying to lift my team up and have them lift me up to be able to be relevant in that conversation. And then, obviously, in the historical realm of basketball, there is another level,” Curry said.
“You talk about five-time champions and beyond that. It’s a good place to start from, but I definitely want to get greedy,” he added.
