While the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers have been most strongly connected to a potential trade of James Harden — Shams Charania of the Athletic blew the top off of social media this week when he stated that the Golden State Warriors made an inquiry on Harden as well.
“I think you had several teams inquire,” said Charania on the Complex Load Management podcast. “The Warriors, at one point, made a call for James Harden.”
Harden cannot become a free agent until 2022, so the Rockets are in no rush to trade him.
The Rockets are seeking a star level player or a high rotation player as well as many draft picks and pick swaps as possible.
“I heard that one a little bit before the injury to Klay,” said Charania of Golden State’s interest.
