On Thursday, the Golden State Warriors were in the Nation’s capital as they got set to take on the Washington Wizards when they decided to make a pit stop.
Instead of taking their talents to visit Donald Trump at the White House to celebrate their 2017-2018 NBA Championship, the team decided to visit with Barack Obama instead.
Draymond Green posted a picture of the team with Obama, and Logan Murdock of the Mercury News tweeted it:
The team reportedly spent an hour meeting with Obama.
Despite winning championships in 2017 and 2018, the Warriors have not returned to the White House, because the team does not agree with who is in office. Plus, Donald Trump publicly feuded with Stephen Curry after he stated he would not visit the White House in 2017.
That lead to LeBron James calling Trump a “bum.”
