Draymond Green had a controversial outing in his latest game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Despite the Golden State Warriors winning 123-118, things looked quite heated when it came to the on-court atmosphere. From tempera flaring to Green getting ejected from the arena, everything happened all at once while the Grizzlies tried to break the Warriors’ momentum.
Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, their best efforts were not enough to see them through. And quite surprisingly, despite the not-so-friendly in-game atmosphere, Green had some words of acknowledgment for his opponents. While addressing the media after the game, the Warriors icon described the Grizzlies’ offensive strategies as “unconventional” and “weird.”
“To see that for the first time took a little getting used to. But I thought the coaching staff did a great job of preparing us for it… In the NBA, most rotations and patterns are pretty similar. What they are doing is like I haven’t seen it,” Green stated in a post-game presser.
Meanwhile, watching the entire matchup, there was not much brotherly love on offer. Especially for Draymond Green, who was called for a nasty foul and was further ejected from courtside.
Draymond Green Set The Temperatures Rising
Well, as described by Green, the ‘unconventional’ strategy from Grizzlies made life difficult for Golden State. While the match was going neck and neck, Green got involved in a nasty foul with Zach Edey. While approaching the basket, Green had a hard fall, after which, he entangled Eddy’s foot. The replay suggested that the move might have been intentional, resulting in Green getting called for a foul.

Trying to prevent any further drama, coach Steve Kerr promptly substituted Green. But alas! The flaring of tempers did not come to a stop. Enraged by the referee’s decision, the four-time NBA champion continued to take verbal shots at the referee. After a while, when Green confronted the referee verbally, he was called in for a second technical foul of the evening and was ejected from the sidelines. Thus, with controversy overshadowing the Warriors’ triumph, it now remains to be seen how the dust settles in the future.
