There’s a video going viral that has NBA fans loving Ja Morant even more.
The Memphis Grizzlies star made a waitress’ entire day when he dished out a $500 tip to her at a local restaurant. The woman did not recognize him at first as she asked him what he did for a living.
Morant first responded “Black Jesus,” but the waitress continued to press him about his identity.
When she realized that one of the top young players in the NBA just blessed her bank account, her reaction was memorable.
Late last month, the Memphis Grizzlies guard agreed to a five-year, $193 million designated rookie maximum extension. The deal is worth at least $193 million and potentially up to $231 million.
The 22-year-old guard climbed to NBA superstardom last season, proving to be one of the most electrifying players in the league. Morant averaged 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in 2021-22 while leading the Grizzlies to the second-best record in the Western Conference.
