Despite not playing since November 6, Zion Williamson, a standout for the New Orleans Pelicans, appears to be nearing a comeback. Following a recent session, Williamson was spotted receiving some shots and may return to the court soon.
Williamson’s return in some form is encouraging as he recovers from a left hamstring strain. The players’ recovery is encouraging for a club that has struggled with injuries throughout the season. So, they will do all their power to salvage what appears to be a lost season.

Despite playing in just six games this season, Williamson has averaged 22.7 points. Because of his impact on the game, the Pelicans want him back as soon as possible. However, given the complexity of hamstring injuries, they most likely don’t want to hasten his recovery.
The real test of Williamson’s compatibility with the Pelicans will be determined by their ability to recover first and see what they can accomplish when everyone is on the court. Many believed Williamson and Brandon Ingram couldn’t play together before this season. But now that Dejounte Murray has joined the club and is a genuine point guard, there’s a chance it may work.
NBA GM Sheds Light On Potential Zion Williamson Trade
Star players like Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson are anticipated to be available when New Orleans sells at the NBA trade deadline. It will be fascinating to watch Williamson’s market. Although the 6-foot-6 big has only played 190 games since being selected first overall in 2019, he is a fantastic talent when healthy.
Tim MacMahon and Bobby Marks of ESPN recently shared some intriguing information on Williamson’s perceived market in the league. That included what one general manager thought about a possible trade to the Chicago Bulls. Recently, Bill Simmons also pointed out clear favorites to land the Pelicans star.

ESPN reported, “A GM brainstorming potential Williamson deals mentioned the Chicago Bulls. They have been shopping guard Zach LaVine for several months, as a possible fit.”
If their season keeps going as it is, the Pelicans will have a top selection. So, eventually, they have many options for what they can do with it. In exchange for someone who suits the club, they might swap the selection for one of their current players, draft a young prospect, or trade it for an established star.
