After a promising start, the Golden State Warriors have hit a rough patch in their season. Over their last seven games, Stephen Curry and his team have secured just two wins.
Amid the losing streak, head coach Steve Kerr suggested that young players like Brandin Podziemski focus on passing the ball to Curry rather than attempting risky shots. Following Kerr’s remarks, Podziemski took to Instagram to share a lengthy post.
Podziemski’s post already drew attention and sparked various interpretations. On Monday, the second-year guard addressed the situation during an interview to clarify his intentions.

“Yeah, about my statement, it can be tricky, and it can be perceived in a different way than it was made out to be. I respect the hell out of Steph, Draymond, Steve, I look up to all of them. So I just wanted to clarify that so that it wouldn’t get twisted in any other way,” Podziemski said.
Warriors And Brandin Podziemski Struggle To Find Consistency
The Golden State Warriors are experiencing an up-and-down season, and young star Brandin Podziemski has also faced challenges. The second-year guard is averaging 8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game this season, slightly below his rookie numbers of 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
Despite the struggles, Podziemski has shown glimpses of his potential. His standout performance this season came in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies, where he scored 21 points, grabbed four rebounds, and dished out six assists. Games like these highlight the talent that made him the Warriors’ 19th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
