Tyrese Haliburton, an All-Star point guard for the Indiana Pacers, beat the Boston Celtics with a deep three-pointer with seconds remaining in the half. The Pacers and Celtics are playing their first game, and Haliburton is guiding the squad as they attempt to win on the road.
Tyrese Haliburton tied the game and gave his side energy heading into the second half with a deep three-pointer after the second quarter. See the great guard block the shot in the video below.
After the first two quarters, both teams had scored 64 points apiece. The Pacers have successfully used their fast-paced attack to force the Celtics to exert much defensive effort. But Boston isn’t giving up lightly either; they equal the other team’s high-scoring opening half.
The Pacers’ top scorer is Myles Turner, who has scored 18 points through the opening two quarters. Indiana is taking advantage of Boston’s 7-foot-3 big man Kristaps Porzingis’ absence from the contest. Conversely, Tyrese Haliburton has contributed four assists and 11 points.
The Pacers want to win while on the road to stop the Celtics from building momentum.

Bob Myers, the former general manager of the Golden State Warriors, disagrees. In Myers’ opinion, Haliburton and the Pacers should be commended for their excellent postseason performance. In an ESPN NBA Countdown segment, he admired the two-time All-Star.
“Tyrese Haliburton, it’s not just how good he is; it’s how good a leader he is. All that stuff permeates theoughout their whole team and organization.”, Myers said.
Amid the 2021–2022 season, the Pacers acquired Haliburton from the Sacramento Kings by trade. He’s since improved his game and revitalized the franchise. The following season, when he averaged 20.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists, he was selected for his first All-Star game.
