The Golden State Warriors began the 2024-25 NBA season with a series of impressive wins. However, they are now facing challenges, having fallen into a five-game losing streak following a close 119-115 defeat against the Denver Nuggets. Additionally, a particular incident during the game left head coach Steve Kerr visibly frustrated.
In the final seconds of the game, Warriors guard Moses Moody missed a three-point shot. The ball rebounded off the rim, and Nuggets guard Christian Braun dove to the floor to catch the long rebound. Braun signaled for a timeout, despite the fact that the Nuggets had no timeouts remaining, and the referees ignored his signal. Warriors coach Steve Kerr was extremely upset that the officials did not issue a technical foul against the Nuggets for Braun’s timeout request. During the post-game press conference, he expressed his frustration about the situation.

“Braun called a timeout. He dove on the floor, he rolled over. Everybody saw it except for the three guys we hire to do the games, and that makes me angry. That’s a technical foul, they don’t have a timeout left. It’s a technical foul. We shoot a free throw, we get the ball, we got a chance to win the game. They [the three referees] all told me they didn’t see it.” Kerr said.

“He can not be that guy. He can’t foul jump shooters. I love Brandin. Hell of a player. Hell of a future. But I hope he watches this clip because he needs to hear it.” Kerr said.
