Among all men’s basketball teams representing their country in the Paris Olympics, Team USA is highly favored this year to win gold. Their star-studded roster, including players like LeBron James and Stephen Curry, and their dominant performances in the exhibition games support this claim strongly.
During a recent press conference, Stephen Curry, who will be playing his first Olympics, strongly responded to a reporter who asked which opponent he’s most eager to face in the Paris Games.
“Whoever’s in the gold medal game,” Curry replied without waiting much.
Curry’s bold reply instantly caught the attention of Kevin Durant, who was beside him. Durant could not help but agree with Curry and praise him, saying, “Great answer.”
Curry has the experience of winning gold before. The star forward played for his country at the FIBA World Cups in 2010 and 2014. During those appearances, he led Team USA to gold medal wins on both occasions.

During an interview with Andscape‘s Marc J. Spears, the Golden State Warriors star shared his honest feeling over losing Thompson.
“It’s still weird, man. I really haven’t figured out the emotions yet just because it’s one of those pieces that really won’t sink in until you get into October and you go to the locker room and you’re in your familiar sights and sounds of the Chase Center,” Curry said.
Curry and Thompson started their NBA careers with the Warriors. They first paired in 2011 and have played 13 seasons together. During this magical time, the duo won 4 NBA titles for the Warriors.
