Devin Booker, the Phoenix Suns shooting guard in the NBA, was crucial to Team USA’s success at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He was in the starting lineup for most games, and the 27-year-old supported the American men’s basketball team in clinching their 5th straight gold medal for the country.

Anthony Edwards: “Book out there guardin’ like that, what got into you lightskin ahh n***a?”
Steph Curry: “What Kuz say? What Kuz Say?”
The whole locker room: “I’ll do it.”
In praising Booker’s defense, Curry and Edwards mentioned Kuzma’s viral post about NBA players trying to step up and be role models for Team USA. With the 2024-25 season starting in a few weeks, seeing the rivalry between all these stars will be interesting.

What Really Happened Between Kyle Kuzma And Devin Booker?
Before the Olympics, Kuzma stated that Team USA should hire exceptional athletes in particular roles. Devin Booker responded to Kuzma’s tweet, saying he would take on this responsibility and followed through during the games in Paris.
“USA basketball better get some NBA stars that know how to play a role. Anybody can be nice with the ball in their hands but can you be cool with defending and going to the corner for a few possessions?” Kuzma wrote on X (Formerly known as Twitter).
In response to Kuzma, Booker wrote, “I’ll do it.”
Devin Booker’s standout performance came in the quarterfinals against Brazil, where he scored an incredible 18 points. In the championship game against France, Booker recorded 15 points, three assists, and six rebounds.
Now that the Olympics are over, Devin Booker will return to the NBA for the Phoenix Suns and use his previous experience competing with Kevin Durant.
