Recently, the TNT crew issued a challenge for a free throw shooting contest in Las Vegas, where one of the following — Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, or Kenny Smith — would compete against Stephen A. Smith. This event was set to take place just before the Cup semifinals on Saturday. Although Shaq had recently impressed the TNT crew with an incredible dunk, he ultimately chose Kenny to face off against Smith. However, Kenny decided to take on the role of coach for Shaq instead.
In the midst of all this, a video of Smith popped up online, surprising basketball fans everywhere. In the video, NBA shooting coach Chris Matthews training Smith for the contest.

After Smith posted his free throw practice video online, Kenny Smith shared his thoughts. The Jet took to Instagram to share the video, playfully teasing Smith for only beginning to practice now. He couldn’t resist adding some light-hearted trash talk about the free throw challenge between them as well.
