Father-son duos are becoming quite a trend in the NBA. Recently, Lakers legend LeBron James made history while playing with his son Bronny James. Following suit, more such father-son duos are being teased, and Chris Paul is one of the names doing the rounds. His son, Chris Paul Jr., has been showing tremendous skills on the basketball court. And while his entry into the NBA looks quite certain, the rumors have begun to spread.
In a recent speculation, rumors circulated that the San Antonio Spurs icon might play together with his son soon. While this could have been an interesting prospect, unfortunately, Chris Paul does not seem interested. Sitting down with Tony Parker in an exclusive interview, Paul revealed that his days in the NBA are numbered. “Yeah, I ain’t playing that long… I can tell you that right now. I am not playing that long,” said Paul.
Tony Parker asked Chris Paul if playing with his son in the NBA would be something that interested him, like LeBron & Bronny James:

Practically speaking, Paul Jr. teaming up with Paul is a little far-fetched. Currently, Paul Jr. is in his freshman year at Campbell High School. Thus, even if he makes rapid progress, it will still take him five years to make his NBA debut. Meanwhile, Paul had yet another memorable milestone added to his Hall of Famer career.
Chris Paul Shines Bright In The NBA
12-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul already has an ornamented CV to show off. The 39-year-old is also a 2x Olympic gold medalist and a one-time NBA All-Star MVP. Now, Paul has once more created ripples with his recent on-court performance. In their recent 121-116 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans, Paul moved to number two in the NBA’s all-time assists list.

"I'm so grateful. To be away from my family — y'all became my family. I know I'm a lot to deal with on the court. But I just love to hoop. I hope y'all get this opportunity to play as long as I have." pic.twitter.com/oqzNnUpkvU
Quite expectedly, the Spurs’ icon could not control his tears in the locker room. He thanked his teammates for supporting him in his journey and becoming a strongly bound family. “I can’t say nothing but thank you. I know I’m hard to deal with a lot of the time. Swear, man, I’m so grateful,” said Paul. Thus, with things going great for the Spurs’ icon, it now remains to be seen how long Chris Paul hangs around to entertain his fans.
