In the world of social media, nothing can be erased, and Colin Cowherd is getting the essence of it. The analyst had years ago shared his prediction about the future face of the NBA, and he couldn’t be more wrong. A fan of the sport dug in deep from the archives and reposted the video.
Cowherd made a bold statement in the clip saying that Brooklyn Nets’ Ben Simmons would flourish in the league and that the LA Lakers’ superstar LeBron James could move to the side.
The Nets guard did have his share of success, but it is nothing compared to the elites like Michael Jordan, LeBron and Magic Johnson whom Cowherd had felt strongly about. The video took no time to get viral and the fans on social media dropped in amusing comments regarding Cowherd’s take.
A fan wrote, “This dude has the worst takes in all of sports. I’ve never seen someone more inaccurate.”
“Man this is bad..the sad part is that he makes millions doin this”, another fan added.

One of the comments read, “I laughed way too hard at this. This really may be the worst sports take I’ve ever heard.”
While someone wrote, “Not the first or last ridiculous take And yet Colin still continues to take in millions and millions doing what he does”.
One fan felt, “The crazy part is.. Ben Simmons was never this lmao.”
But even after 6 years of his outrageous claim, Colin Cowherd has more left in him and the recent one came at the expense of another Lakers star.
Colin Cowherd Proposes Bizarre Trade for Lakers Star
With the ongoing rumors about the trade and the recent appointment of JJ Redick, expectations are higher than ever. According to reports, the Lakers will be aggressive in the trade market, but what Colin Cowherd suggests is a polar opposite.
According to the FS1 analyst, the Lakers should trade their big man Anthony Davis. But wait there’s more shock left. In exchange for AD, the Lakers will get Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace and 4 future first-round draft picks.
Jalen Williams has averaged 19.1 points per game from a 54/42.7/81.4 shooting spread. The OKC forward is only 23 with his best days ahead of him. But do the Lakers have time for that developmental curve?
The demand for the Lakers is simple, a championship and with the Celtics reaching 18, the Gold and Purple will be desperate. Losing out on a vital piece like AD can be detrimental to the Lakers’ chances of landing their 18th Larry O’Brien trophy.
