The Philadelphia 76ers look dangerous after putting together a stacked starting lineup led by Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid.
Nobody could’ve predicted that this lineup would become a thing unless you were a person who pays close attention to the sneakers that NBA players wear during games.
George, a nine-time all-star, was playing in what would end up being his final game with the Clippers. The team took on the Dallas Mavericks in Game 6 during their round one matchup.
A video now points out that George basically told everybody back in May that he was signing with the 76ers just based on his shoes. He was wearing the ‘Philly Nike Kobe 4s’, which were made in honor of Kobe Bryant and his hometown of Philadelphia.
The video added that Paul George came dressed in the same color scheme as the 76ers during the post-game press conference.
In his final game, George scored 18 points on 6-for-18 shooting (2 for ten from 3-point range) with 11 rebounds.
